Michael McGovern

Mike McGovern is a wildlife storyteller, conservationist, and educator whose work reached more than 200 million people last year. He’s worked with several leading wildlife and media organizations including National Geographic, where his team most recently published a magazine story on the last Asiatic lions with Steve Winter and Sharon Guynup. In the philanthropic space, Mike co-founded Big Cat Voices, a nonprofit advancing conservation through world-class journalism, science, and media. He studied at Dartmouth, Oxford and Stanford, worked on conservation strategy at McKinsey, led social media strategy at MrBeast, and is now turning his focus to changing how the next generations interact with wildlife.
